Michelle Fonseca graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication and a minor in History. While attending college, Ms. Fonseca interned with Santa Barbara Superior Court Pretrial Services Office. Ms. Fonseca went on to attend the University of San Diego School of Law, graduating in 2014 with a concentration in criminal litigation.
For two years, Ms. Fonseca clerked for the San Diego Office of the Public Defender where she handled a variety of misdemeanors and felonies for both juveniles and adults. Being fluent in Spanish, Ms. Fonseca was able to communicate directly with all of her Spanish speaking clients. Upon graduation from law school, she was awarded the Community Defender Award for her dedication and excellence in the area of criminal defense. Shortly after being admitted to the California Bar in 2014, Ms. Fonseca joined Sawl Law Group where she specializes in criminal defense. Ms. Fonseca is deeply committed to her clients and fights aggressively on their behalf. She believes everyone deserves a fair trial, which is why she has dedicated herself to delivering high-quality legal representation in even the most complex and challenging cases.
